Rarity

LONDON Embers rarity design is designed with minimalism in mind; it has a few core attributes, if aligned correctly, can produce widly different and expressive EMBERs.

The attributes are: provenance, gridSize, animationDuration, and animationStyle.

provenance attribute identifies how the EMBER was minted. provenance is a key factor to how other attributes are generated.

gridSize, as the name suggests, controls the size of the grid, the larger the grid the more 'complex' the art appears.

animationDuration controls how long the animation lasts. The weighting of animationDuration depends on provenance.

If provenance is Noble, Pristine, or Eternal, the weights are the following:

If provenance is Ashen or Gift, the weights are the following:

These weights are selected to push users to burn EMBERs and GIFTs.

Finally, animationStyle controls how the animation is generated.

There are a few other bells and whistles thrown in the EMBER generation process that will be left to users to figure out, the name of the EMBER NFTs being one of them.

Burn GIFT

The main way to receive Embers is through the burning of Gifts. You can burn between 2-15 Gifts to receive Embers as derived by this equation:

You will also need to pay a $LONDON fee derived by this equation:

For example, if you burn 6 Gifts, that would mint you 11 Embers at a fee of 6162.0 $LONDON. These equations are chosen to incentive larger burn quantities.

A maximum of 1559 Gifts can be burned to mint Embers.

After the merge, burning any amount of Gifts will always net you only one Ember.

Burn Embers

Embers can also be burnt to receive new Embers. You can burn between 3-7 Embers to receive new Embers as derived by this equation:

To burn Embers for Embers, you will also need to pay a $LONDON fee derived by this equation:

For example, if you burn 4 Embers, that would mint you 3 Embers at a fee of 6236.0 $LONDON.

Airdrop

LONDON Embers will be airdropped based on nobility rankings. Check the table below to see if you qualify for a nobility rank.

A GIFT is valued at 10,000 $LONDON. For example, if you own 5 GIFT NFTs, that would qualify you as a Baron/Baroness.

Embers are airdropped based on your nobility at the time of snapshot.

After the merge, minting airdropped LONDON Embers will be shut off forever.

Public sale

Along with airdrop and burning, 500 Embers can be acquired via a public sale for 1559 $LONDON. A maximum of 4 Embers can be minted per txn.
